Service Technician

My client, a leading & long-established print & graphics business based in Gibraltar is looking for a Service Technician to join their team here.

The Role

Fixing Mono and Colour MFP’s.
Fixing Riso and Shredders.
Complete planned maintenance calls as and when required by works control
Learning Networking.
Maximize equipment up-time through timely response and effective and efficient repair
Customer training to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Ability to troubleshoot and think independently.
Mechanical and electrical aptitude and demonstrated.
Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
Log all stripped parts and ensure they are added to client calls when used.
Resolve problems with the desktops, laptops, and printers at the component level.
Record, upgrade and replace hardware and software systems.
Offer technical support for activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of reported problems.
Install and reinstall software packages and updates.
Be able to recognize, research, isolate, resolve, and follow-up on problems.
Overtime will be required at times due to the needs of the business; all employees are expected to adhere if required.
Training & machine overview’s to be completed when available.
Maintain and take care of company vehicles and tools that are supplied.
All technicians are required to attend a daily team brief at shift start.
Communicate and interact with customers, field service, sales, management, and administration in a way that is courteous, positive and professional.

Technical KPI Measures:
Calls per day.
Parts Used (Including New Vs Used).
Time Available Vs Time worked.
Time & Attendance.
Skills:
Knowledge of Basic Networking.
Computer and analytical skills.
Prior experience in the maintenance and repair of printers manufactured by Xerox, HP, Brother.
Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
Complete all administrative aspects of the job on time and error-free.
Provide accurate feedback with close call information, parts usage reporting and customer meter readings.
Must be able to problem solve, conduct is written and verbal communication, read and comprehend technical information.
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Pull, lift, reach and transport equipment parts and boxes.
Must have valid driver license and insurance.
